John Clevland. Captain Arthur Gardiner has borne Felix Neale, a constant pilot of the Amazon for the coast of Ireland and Scotland from February 1752-October 1753. The ship was in the Downes, the river Thames and at Harwich and Holland for several months in 1752 when other pilots have received considerable sums for carrying her to and from those places. Captain Gardiner has also borne other pilots for 3 months in 1753 on the Scottish coast whilst Neale was continued on board and ask if all the expense should be allowed
