John Clevland. Murdoch Mackenzie, Surveyor of the Western coast of Scotland, has proposed that the Culloden Smack is made new and raised higher or that a larger vessel is appointed for the service. We find the vessel has 20 inches waste and is very stiff, her deck can be raised 12-14 inches which will make her more conveneient and ask for directions
