Thomas Corbett. Mr Wordsworth, under contract to supply hemp, advises he has been notified by Nicholas Fenwick, the Russia Company's agent at Elsinore, that 108 ships sailed under convoy of the Wager only. He believes that the French have received information about the convoy and the lack of escort. Captain Appleby who was taken during the last Baltic fleet, says the privateer who captured him had full information about the convoy he sailed in. Mr Wordsworth stresses the importance of stronger escorts
