Josiah Burchett. Dr. Cockburne has proposed that the internal dosing of undistilled vinegar would be more effective in preventing distemper of infection amongst the crews of ships than washing the ship with vinegar. Messrs. Hall and Swan, Surgeons of Woolwich and Deptford Yard and Mr Allen of the Royal Caroline were asked their opinion. It was impossible to agree so the views of the College of Physicians is to be sought and the views of Doctor Boerhaavein
