Josiah Burchett. Lieutenant James Peers has written about 40 men ordered from the Guardships at Spithead to assist the Queen Caroline East India ship to the River. The ship has been brought to Erith and he is asking for conduct money to Portsmouth. Have ordered the Clerk of the Cheque at Deptford to pay them conduct money from Erith to Deptford and from there to Portsmouth and ask for approval. Opine the East India Company should repay the sum to the Treasurer of the Navy
