Discusses the island's economic situation. Notes that the number of ships being built on the island had increased. Lists the number of ships built between 1790 and 1792 and states the price at which the ships were sold in the West Indies. Also comments on the money lent to Frenchmen whose ships had been wrecked in Bermuda.
Encloses a return of those employed by the Engineer Department during January which showed a drop in expenses. The twenty six employees are not named and include the foremen of labourers at King's Castle and in St George's, carpenters (white/black), masons (black), labourers armed for the guard of the King's Castle and other Forts (white), labourers (black).
