Reports that accommodation had been prepared for the planned arrival of three companies of soldiers to garrison the island. Also reports that 'the apprehensions of any immediate danger from the Negroes of these islands have subsided'. Adds that work to improve the security of the King's Castle and the construction of guard houses would continue due fears connected with the actions of 'blacks' in Haiti and on the 'eastern shores of the Chesapeake'.
