Description

Holdernesse to Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick: the marquis de Vaudreuil has surrendered Montreal to Amherst, and the garrison is to be returned to France. Dated at Whitehall. PS that he is impatient for news of the hereditary prince's expedition [to the lower Rhine]. ff. 142, 143
