Description

Crown funds: forwards estimates of receipts and expenditure for 1852. With related correspondence including Grey's comments on 'some of the most perplexing points'; amongst other things he refuses to sanction the expenditure of £700 on a market house, and states that 'no part of the sum of Seven hundred pounds set apart for the introduction of African laborers must be regarded as applicable to any other mode of introducing them than by means of the Vessels sailing under contract with the Land and Emigration Commissioners in England'.
