Nature of request
Reding requests that he be delivered from his long imprisonment in Newgate by the king's letters to the company of Bardi and the sheriffs of London, he being attached by the company by a commission of the late king alleging that he was responsible for the loss of money in Artois when it was by the company's bad judgment.
Nature of endorsement
The sheriff is ordered that he certify in Chancery the cause for the detention in prison of the petitioner, and he is to warn the merchants to be in Chancery to show why he should not be delivered, and if the reason is not reasonable then he should be delivered.
