- The petition has been speculatively dated to? 1320-? 1345 on the basis of the hand. As the petition is answered in French it is likely to date to 1322 and after. The burgesses had confirmations and extentions of liberties in 1327 and 1337, but it is not clear whether either relates to this petition (CChR 1327-41, pp.50-1, 429-30).
