The Talebots request remedy as Elizabeth, following the death of Aymer, though she was of full age was put in the wardship of the Despensers by their procurement, she was held in prison and forced to grant the manor of Swanscombe to the king, who gave it to the elder of the Despenser.

Note
The petition dates to c. 1327 as it is clearly after the fall of the Despenser's and relates to one of their more notorious acts. An unrelated order to restore a separate part of the inheritance is probably contemporary and dates to 23 March 1327 (CFR 1327-37, p.35).
