[The petition is badly damaged and full sense of the petition is not recoverable].The people petition for the repeal of the statute and that they may rehave the lands and issues of those lands that were the Templars, [they being excluded] by the procurement of Despenser.

Note
The petition is dated to c. 1330 as it is clearly early in the reign of Edward III, the petition referring back to wrongs done by one of the Despensers, and is similar in content to SC 8/79/3938 which dates to the Westminster parliament held in November 1330 (Rot. Parl., vol. II, pp.41b-42a (no.52)).
