The petitioners came to England following a proclamation that alien merchants could come to England without impediment and in safety but their goods were seized at Southampton.
Nature of endorsement
Let the sheriff and bailiffs where the goods were arrested be ordered by writ of Chancery that if the merchants came by assurance of the proclamation, and the goods were arrested after the proclamation then they are to make delivery of the goods.
