Loges states that Hugh de Loges his father, late forester of the fee of the forest of Cannock redeemed his lands for a fine of £100 for a trespass of venison. King Henry III returned the lands without the wood of Gailey which pertained to Loges' manor of Rodbaston. Loges requests the grace of the king for the return of the wood since it was not known in the time of the king's father for men to be disinherited for trespasses of venison.
