Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition by its address clearly dates to a period when the king was outside the kingdom. Realistically this places this petition to the regency of Aymer of Valence in 1320, or to that of John, earl of Cornwall in 1329. Chetilton had an active criminal career in the period 1310-1330.
