Nature of request
Barton requests that his expenses be allowed as he was appointed one of the receivers of the temporalities of the bishopric of Durham during the vacancy after the death of Bek, and remained in the bishopric to collect the arrears after the temporalities were delivered to Kellawe but the treasurers and barons of the Exchequer will not allow these.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered by writ to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer that they inform themselves by inquisition or by other means how long the petitioner resided concerning the levying of the issues of the bishopric after the temporalities had been delivered to the bishop, and to make due allowance for this.
