Payn requests grace and remedy as his father enfeoffed the Couchefords with lands in Hupwynburn and he was next heir, but the Laibroks ousted them by force and arms, and enfeoffed Mautravers, and Payn lost his suit of novel disseisin as he was driven into Gloucestershire for fear of Mautravers.
