Nature of request
Petition of the commons requesting remedy for the wrongs done to them by the king's ministers concerning the recovery of their goods from the castles, and the payment for goods taken by the garrisons which the sheriffs will not allow, as the commons have bought a truce and without payment are greatly impoverished, and concerning the seizure of goods of the enemies when they come to sell them against the truce; and other acts of the ministers. They request an examiner be sent, and request an answer by the bearer.
