[4 separate petitions which have suffered considerable damage from gall, and are badly faded]:1) Petition concerning the provision of a prison to keep prisoners in as the bailiffs keep them in their own houses.2) Guitard requests . . . [The sense of this petition is now lost].3) Renaud requests that right be done concerning an inquisition.4) Renaud further requests . . . as he held several bailiwicks of the treasurer of Saintonge, but because he held a bailiwick of the king of France [he has been ousted].

The petition is dated somewhat speculatively based on the guard note dating of? c. 1320 which itself is based on a reference from the Gascon rolls whose relevance is not entirely clear (C 61/33, m.5d).
