Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition is dated speculatively to c. 1330-c. 1340 as the petition makes reference to Queen Philippa, and the hand of the petition suggests a date earlier in the reign of Edward III. Cowick was held by Queen Isabella in 1329. The note on the guard relating the petition to Feckenham in Worcestershire is clearly in error.
