Nature of request
The petitioner requests a remedy concerning the prebend of Nassington in the cathedral of Lincoln, which was granted to him . . . but he has been unable to have his right by the conspiracy of Bishop Burghersh. He requests remedy also for his costs and trouble.1)
Nature of endorsement
The bishop should come before the council to show why the writ was not sealed and revocation made.2) The bishop came and said that another had the possession of the prebend by collation of the king before the judgment and still holds it, and the collation is shown to the king . . .
