[The petition is badly damaged, missing much of the right-hand half of the petition].The petitioner requests [that he be discharged of the fine . . .] as he has paid the £20 and the other £20 is still in arrears . . . as he came to the king at Woodstock at Easter . . .

The petition is dated to? c. 1330-1331 on the basis of the guard note. Though the hand fits this dating, it is not clear how such a narrow dating is arrived at. It is not clear whether the dating of this petition, with the group of petitions from 153/7641-9, is justified.
