Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition is dated on the guard to c. 1322. The petition is answered in French which suggests a date of 1322 or thereafter when such responses predominate. Archbishop Melton was consecrated in 1317 and died in 1340. It is not clear why the guard date has been selected. The petition may be contemporary with SC 8/153/7610.
