Nature of request
The college requests a grant of the advowson of the church of St Sampson, York, and licence to appropriate it. They also request that they might be exempted from the provisions of a statute made at Westminster concerning the provision of a vicar in the church and for the payment of a sum to the parishioners annually because of the insubstantial value of the church, and because of the number of vicars.
Nature of endorsement
The king has granted this petition in all points with the assent of parliament.
