Agnes de Frowyk, widow of Reginald de Frowyk.
Name(s)
de Frowyk, Agnes

Frowyk requests remedy as Poyns and others took her son from her custody by force and arms and took him to Pleshey castle and kept him there until he was married against his and her will.
Nature of endorsement
She should go into Chancery and have a writ ordained for her case.
Places mentioned
Furneux Pelham, [Hertfordshire]
Pleshey, [Essex].
People mentioned
Henry [de Frowyk], son and heir of Reginald and Agnes de Frowyk
John de Poyns
Richard [de Poyns], son of John de Poyns
John de Falstede, chaplain
[Humphrey de Bohun], earl of Hereford.
Note
PROME, Appendix of Unedited Petitions, 1307-1337, Rotuli Parliamentorum I, pp. 273-280, no. 27, dates as probably from 1308-1309. An edition of the petition copied from the original by Hale also dates the petition to 2 Edward II (Rot. Parl., vol. p.278a (no.27)). The date is likely to be correct as some of the malefactors were pardoned their imprisonment for the abduction on 20 August 1311 (CPR 1307-13, p.384).
