de Waldeshef, John

King.

Waldeshef requests that he is able to be served of £10 which Tochet granted to him and then disseised him of.
Nature of endorsement
He should show his writing in Chancery, and let the truth be enquired of and justice be done.
Places mentioned
Finmere, Oxfordshire.
People mentioned
William Tochet.
Note
The petition's dating in the guard note is not entirely illegible, but appears to be a year in the 1320s and based on a reference in the Miscellaneous inquisitions which is also incomplete. There are no relevant references in CIM 1307-49 upon which to base this dating, only three references to the petitioner acting in a different capacity (CIM 1307-49, nos.922, 1069, 1129). The earliest of these dates to 1326, and the latest to 1330, so that a dating range of 1326-1330 has been selected.
