Wyndegates request remedy as he was seised of land and a fishery called le Brade in Paxton but was ousted during the war by Bruce, and the land and fishery are now in the king's hand.1)
Nature of endorsement
They say that Wyndegates and his ancestors were seised of the same during the time of King Alexander, and he was ousted in the war by Bruce who gave it to Cosour, who gave it to Lowdre, by whose forfeiture it came to the king. They say that the petitioner is faithful to the king.2) He should have a writ to the sheriff of Berwick to deliver it to the petitioner to hold it as he held it before.
