Nature of request
Weyland requests that the rent that he bought jointly with his father from Fitz John for their lives in Great Massingham be rendered to him together with the issues taken whilst the rent has been in the king's hand. The rent and the charters were taken into the late king's hand because of his father's exile.1)
Nature of endorsement
It is ordered to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer by writ of the great seal that they examine the charters and muniments concerning this business and certify the king; the king will take advice and do what ought to be done.2) He should await the coming of Walter de Norwich.
