Nature of request
The parson requests that the keeper of forfeited land in Gloucestershire be commanded to deliver the tithes from the park of Weston and elsewhere and the arrears of the same, and from the manor of Norton as they have come into the king's hand by Giffard's forfeiture.

The petition dates to 1334 because the rents are two years in arrears from the 1322 forfeiture by Giffard following the revolt of Thomas of Lancaster, and the keeper was ordered to pay the tithes if he could establish that the petitioner and his predecessors had received it (CCR 1323-7, p.84).
