The burgesses request renewal of their charter with the addition of further liberties concerning tolls on the sale and purchase of merchandise, charges of pontage etc., and the impleading of burgesses outside of the town.
Nature of endorsement
Let certain people be assigned to enquire in the presence of the sheriff if it be to the damage of the king or others if he grants the points contained in the petition, and let the inquisition be returned into Chancery.
