Nature of request
Writ to the sheriff of Lincoln to arrest all the goods of the counts of Hainault, Holland and Zeeland and the men and merchants of the German towns to the value of £200 7s. 8d. without delay, and to keep them in his custody until he receives another order. The order is made in response to a presentation of Wydeslade.
Nature of endorsement
Answer of Simon Chamberlain, sheriff of Lincolnshire.Lanum, the bailiff of the earl of Richmond's liberty Skirbeck wapentake has not answered the writ.No goods of the men and merchants of the counts of Hainault, Holland and Zeeland have been found and arrested in the bailiwick as is attested by Gernon and others.
