Alien weavers and clothworkers
Nature of request
The alien weavers and clothworkers state that they were granted a charter by Edward III, which has been confirmed by all the Kings since then, and notably by the present King at his last parliament, allowing them to work in London and in other towns and cities in England, and that they have enjoyed this until the King's recent absence, when certain English weavers have been harassing them, so that they cannot work as their charter allows them to. They request a remedy so that they can work again as they used to.
