[This petition is damaged] The Abbot of Westminster states that a solemn inquest was held into the dispute between the Treasurer and the Abbot over visitation rights to the hospital of St James, and that it was sent to Chancery and then to King's Bench. The justices have sent writs to the Treasurer, Barons and Chamberlains of the Exchequer, to search for evidence of the Treasurer's right to the visitation, but the Treasurer, by colour of his office, has prevented any judgment being brought. The Abbot asks the King to order the justices to proceed to judgment.
