Nature of request
Isabel, widow of Simon de Whynnow, states that her husband leased 45 acres of land in Whynnow to William de Blount for ten years, but that these lands were taken into the hand of the King's father because William was of the party of Andrew de Harcla. She requests her dower from these hands.
Nature of endorsement
Richard de Wylughby and William de Denn are to be appointed to inquire, in the presence etc., into the truth of the contents of the petition and other articles etc., and if the same Isabel was Simon's wife, and if the said Simon was seised in his demesne etc. of the aforesaid tenements, for which Isabel should be dowered from them, and into other etc., and if the same Isabel remised her right to anyone etc., and the inquisition is to be returned in Chancery.
