Nature of request
Richard Wodelok states that in the second year of the King's reign he brought a writ of annuity against the Abbot of Lyre, claiming £50 of arrears of an annuity of £100, and recovered this sum, but that the clerk, through negligence, entered in the roll that Richard had recovered the arrears, but forgot to mention that the judgment was also that he should recover the annuity. He then sued to have the record of the judgment amended, but the Abbot has never deigned to attend, despite writs of venire facias and distraints. He asks the King to order Henry Lescrop and his companions that, if they find a warrant in the record for completing the judgment on this annuity, they should then complete it, without waiting longer for the Abbot.
Nature of endorsement
[On dorse of SC 8/149/7435] He is to have a writ to Henry Lescrop and his companions that they are to inform the Abbot to be etc. and that they are to correct and complete the judgment in what is deficient, and further do on this what according to the law and custom etc.
