Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated on the guard to c. 1312, with reference to a mention of John de Weston as Chamberlain of Scotland in Bain, vol.III p.397, dated by Bain to 12 October 1314: but the hand would suggest that it belongs to the 1330s, after the English regain Berwick.
