Nature of request
Christina, widow of Edmund de Wylinton, states that John de Wylinton gave the manor of Lanteglos and Fawton to her and to Henry de Wylinton for term of their two lives, with the reversion to John and his heirs, and that she in return gave Henry and his heirs £60 of land of her inheritance in Devon. This is now in the King's hand because of Henry's forfeiture, and by a writ which has come to the Sheriff of Cornwall to seize Henry's lands she is expelled and has nothing to live on. She requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
[On dorse of SC 8/149/7409] She is to show what she has on this in Chancery, and the truth is to be inquired into; and when the inquisition has been returned, justice is to be done.

CCR 1318-23 p.583 is dated 21 July 1322, and is clearly the result of this petition (and SC 8/201/10046), and of CIM 1307-49 no.511, the commission for which is dated 28 June 1322.
