Nature of request
Nicholas de Wedergrave states that his lord, Nicholas Daudeleyghe, granted him an annual pension of £10 to receive from the manor of Ford in Shropshire, and that after Nicholas' death the King sent a writ to the Countess of Lincoln to continue paying this sum, but that John de Felton, who has been appointed keeper of the manor, will not let him have this pension. He requests a writ, similar to the one sent to the Countess, or that the King and council might wish to give him some other remedy.

Note
This petition is clearly dated to March-July 1322 by CPR 1321-4 p.84 (22 March 1322), and CCR 1318-23 p p.577 (21 July 1322). CFR 1319-27 pp.191-192 is dated 23 December 1322, and shows that the Countess was dead by then. CCR 1318-23 p.314, the original order mentioned by the petition, is dated 4 July 1321, and CCR 1330-3 p.95 is dated 8 December 1330.
