Nature of request
The petitioners make two requests:1) They state that they are the Earl of Lincoln's people, and were the first people to come to the King's peace when the host was at Denbigh when Lord Edmund and the Earl of Lincoln were there, from the feast of Our Lady a year ago, and that the King granted that they would have all their land in Wolverdele. They have sued a writ to Walter de Hopptone to give it to them, but he is withholding it. They ask that they might have it.2) They ask that their business might be expedited as they are greatly impoverished.
