Nature of request
Richard Wydevill states that he had enfeoffed certain people with a house that he had in Northamptonshire, in order to re-enfeoff it according to his will, and that he was then wrongly imprisoned by the late King. While he was in prison Alice Perrers persuaded the feoffees to enfeoff certain people with the house, promising to use her influence with the King to have him released, and to do him other good; but when she had the house she did nothing, and he remained in prison until the King, learning the truth, released him. He asks that he might have the house back.
