Nature of request
John de Walton of Walton near Liverpool states that it was agreed by authority of the parliament held at Westminster on 16 November, 5 Henry V, that his adversaries, named in a petition presented by him, should allow him to enter the manor of Walton and to occupy it in peace, without being expelled by them except through a judgment of the King's court, and asks that this act of parliament might remain in force, and not be annulled by any other parliament, and also that the Chancellor might be ordered not to grant any special assize against him, without it being directed to the justices of assize in the said county.
