Nature of request
John de la Wodehalle states that he was captured and imprisoned as an adherent of Thomas, Earl of Lancaster, but was then released with other prisoners in the park of Rothwell, as he was ready to put himself on a jury that he was not at Tickhill, or Burton-upon-Trent, or Boroughbridge, or anywhere else against the King. But his lands are now seized into the King's hand, and his wife and children have nothing to live off. He request's the King's grace of the delivery of his lands and chattels, as he had the King's grace of the delivery of his body.
