Nature of request
Roger de Wodeford states that his lands and tenements, goods and chattels in Ireland were taken into the King's hand because of his involvement in the rebellion of Robert de Verdun; and they were valued, and the valuation returned in the Dublin Exchequer. He later served the King in Scotland and received a pardon on that account, together with orders to return the lands and tenements. However, he is now being distrained by the Exchequer for the value of these lands and tenements, goods and chattels, because the valuation has not been withdrawn. He requests a writ to the Exchequer to cease this demand.
Nature of endorsement
He is to have a writ to the Treasurer and Barons of the Dublin Exchequer that, when they have examined the charter of pardon and the other letters that he has of the grant of his lands and tenements, goods and chattels [missing due to damage to ms] is to be allowed to him, and justice and restitution [missing due to damage to ms] according to the purport [missing due to damage to ms].
