Thomas Wodeby requests a writ to the customs-officers of London to allow him to ship wools and wool-fells to the value of £18 15s. 2d., in compensation for for goods taken from him by Robert de Popham and his companions, as he has also had heavy losses through wool taken from him for the King's use, and a robbery inflicted on him by the French.

CCR 1339-41 p.303 is dated 20 September 1339 and concerns repayment for the wools taken from Thomas for the king's use. It is probably earlier than this petition, as Thomas mentions this large sum, but does not request compensation for it.
