- The executors of Henry, Bishop of Winchester state that the Bishop's stud-farm remained entirely in the manors of the bishopric at the King's command, without anything being sold or alienated, until John de Sandal became Bishop. He kept it all his time, without giving them satisfaction, and after his death the King's ministers seized it, together with John's chattels, so that it is now in the King's hand. They request justice and restitution in the matter of this stud-farm.

- From the fact that the stud farm is in the King's hand, this petition would seem to date from after the death of John de Sandale, but probably from before the temporalities of the bishopric were given to Rigaud de Assier.
