Nature of request
Richard de Wilughby the elder states that he purchased certain lands in Stapleford in Lincolnshire of one Gilbert Lederede, to hold to himself and Elizabeth his wife, and to his heirs, with clause of warranty, Robert de la More, the King's cook, gave the King to understand that they were lying empty and that the King had right to them, and, after an inquest held by the Escheator, he received them from the King at farm, thus expelling Richard and Elizabeth without right of response. They ask that they might have their lands back.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be sent to Chancery, and, when the Escheator's certification has been examined, a certain day is to be given to the said Richard, and the Escheator and the person who holds it of the King's lease are to be summoned to be there on the same day, in the presence of the King's sergeants, [and] justice is to be done to the said Richard.

CCR 1360-4 pp.247-248 is dated 4 February 1361, and would seem likely to come from a slightly later stage in the proceedings.Walter de Kelby of Lincoln was Escheator of Lincolnshire between 26 October 1357 and 5 March 1372.
