Nature of request
William, Marshal of England, states that he has served the King and his father long and faithfully, and has been ruined in that service. He has rendered his account before the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer, but has not received any of the money owed to him, and is being threatened by those to whom he owes money for wages and debts. He asks the King to ordain for his estate.
Nature of endorsement
The Treasurer, Barons and Chamberlains of the Exchequer are to be ordered that, when they have examined the account, they are to let him have payment or assignment for what they find to be owing to him.
