Description
Petitioners
Alice de Wyndesore (Windsor, Perrers).
Name(s)
de Wyndesore (Windsor, Perrers), Alice
Addressees
King and lords of parliament.
Nature of request
Alice de Wyndesore states that it was ordained by a statute made in the parliament held at Westminster in the King's tenth year that a statute made in the parliament held at Westminster in the King's first year concerning the judgment against her should be repealed, with the intention that she should be restored to her previous estate; but this repeal does not have this force. She asks the King and lords to ordain in the present parliament that the statute and judgment should be brought into parliament so that any errors in them can be noted, they can be annulled, and she can be restored to her previous estate.
Nature of endorsement
[None]
Places mentioned
Westminster.
Note
The petition mentions the parliament held at Westminster in 10 Richard II (that of October 1386): this would suggest that this petition is likely to have been presented to the next parliament, that of February 1388.
