John Wotton, formerly vicar of Swindon, states that he made an exchange of his vicarage with John Wadupp, parson of the church of St Audoen in London, before the Cardinal who was lately in England, but in the meantime the Chancellor was given to understand that the vicarage was vacant, and presented it to someone else. John asks the lords to ordain for the vicarage to be returned to him, or otherwise to grant him the King's protection while he pursues his right to it by process of law in court Christian.
